give hiromi a break... she cried... she has been storing those feelings for so long, sealing it with a smile. In the end, she herself understands how lewd she is.

However, being lewd for the man she loves, sacrificing for the person she loves, this just shows how much she loves Shinichiro. She may be a parasite in Shinichiro's life, but Shinchiro would probably not mind her sucking on him... ;P pun intended.

Hiromi with glasses = win to me.

Though, now that True Tears has ended I really don't have anything romance-wise to replace it with. I'll look forward to Geass in 4 days I guess.

Derek: I think it was Noe that hooked me onto continuing to watch the show, since I'm not usually compelled to watch these types of shows. :3

nomadotto: Based on what I know with our experiences, I think Wgeneral might have overhyped this, but we'll see what you think. :3

Moogy: You mean

Man that watercolor shit is ridiculousLY AWESOME!

Well, BigN, you (along with Wgeneral) have convinced me to watch True Tears. Hopefully I'll be able to get the full significance of this post after I've seen the show.

Apart from eloquent bloggers like theBigN here, the True Tears community seems to be split into 3 categories:

1 - Noe fans
2 - Hiromi fans
3 - Don't care about the show on the basis that it is overhyped

Personally, I don't understand what hype has to do with whether you should watch a show... I mean, watch it if you enjoy it, right? It's not a crime to like something someone likes, honest!

In a strange way, I feel the show itself was responsible for the hype. The first few episodes were by far the most exciting for me - they seemed to have done a better job at setting up the problems than resolving them. Not that it's bad now, but I rewatched the first 4 or 5 episodes multiple times and have not felt the urge to do so with the others. I am not exactly sure why these later episodes don't seem to have the same impact, maybe someone else feels the same way and has an idea.

issa-sa: Which is why at the moment, I wouldn't like it if Hiromi stayed the same and still got Shinichiro, since it seems like the start of some bad problems.

totali: It's amazing how much posts there's been about it, and a large part of it seems just to be about "Shin x Hiromi" vs "Shin x Noe". This post doesn't help with that, of course, but I'm surprised at how much focus there's been on it. It's shinyness helps. :P

Kabitzin: Of course he's not, but I was enthralled with the Mugiha dance nonetheless. :P

I understand Hiromi’s feelings, because it’s been a really crappy year for her and she’s finally got all her targets lined up when Noe threatens to ruin everything. So of course Hiromi is going to be freaked out.

I understand the feelings too, but I still don't think that's a reason to stay as she currently is. Change for the better!

And I do think that True Tears is one of the better shows of the year, objectively speaking. Subjectively? I like a couple of series also showing this season (and continuations of shows from series last season) better than True Tears. And that's what matters to me.

impz: Insecurities are alright. It's what you do about them that's important. Noe has them too, but she's actually trying to do something about it, though there are lots of better ways to do it than free falling.

voodoomage: The community regarding this hasn't been quite as interesting as it could have been to me. I'll leave it at that. :P

It's been in my top anime list all year. It is definitely better than Clannad has turned out... Which was my guess for Anime of the year at first. For such a short series, I feel like we've been through more with the characters than I have with something like Kimikiss or Clannad . It has far more rabbidly loyal viewers entrenched on one side or the other of the Noe/Hiromi battle than any Kyou fan could hope for.
True Tears has been a far more interesting community of fans to be with than almost any other anime I've watched in a while.
