Personally, I like wearing those goggles. The cool thing about Japanese anime and Japanese culture in general is the liberation of it. You would never see even so much as a hint of that kind of thing in North American cartoons, and if they localize an anime to TV, they usually make sure it's safe, or they somehow censor it (I remember in Sailor Moon, they converted one of the evil villains to a female because he was homosexual in the Japanese version)

This is exactly why I don't write reviews or partake in debates.

Plus, when watching shoujo, I don't mind who ends up with who. In my mind, there's always a reason why the pairings work/fail. Does that mean I'm a self-defeatist? I guess so... Meh.

Bart: Ohh, all these new superheroes _suck_! None of them can hold a candle to "Radioactive Man".

Milhouse: The only decent new one is "Radiation Dude".

Bart: Nah, he's just a cheap imitation of Radioactive Man.

Milhouse: [put out] Explain.

Bart: The similarities are subtle, but many. For example, Radioactive Man has his famous catch phrase, "Up and at 'em!" with "at 'em" spelled A-T-O-M in a delicious pun.

Milhouse: Go on...

Bart: While Radiation Dude has a similar but lamer catch phrase, "Up and let's go!"

Drm: Exactly. (j/k Owen... or am I? :D)

meganeshounen: Indeed. It's when you start forcing your opinion onto the anime, instead of the other way around, that the goggles are placed firmly on your face.

bakaraptor: Fisticuffs? Gladly! :3

Goggles, huh. And speaking of PoV's, I'd just like to point out that people may have different reasons for watching the shows they watch. For example, some may watch ef -a tale of memories- just for the neatly woven (imho) relationships between the different characters... while others are in it for the exquisite backgrounds and Nanao Naru art. :D

Then again, that's where the word "imho" comes into play...

If Sat-chin breaks your goggles, I think you'd be too enamored with her/him breaking the goggles to even care.

And I bet a ton of people out there would have the same reaction :P
