I agree with you – Kogarashi is a genius invention. Almost every scene he is on is hilarious. And I also guiltily confess to find him sexy (and I rarely find anime characters sexy…). I want one.
I also think Naeka and her various stalkers (of all sexes and ages) make a good support.
However – the amount of lame jokes and fan service is at times making the show more of a chore. I’m not usually against fan service but in this show it often makes me uncomfortable – does the fact the the show seems self conscious and tongue-in-the-cheek makes the degradations some of the female characters go through ok? I’m not sure (and I admit to laughing loudly when Kogarashi woke Naeka up by putting a running water hose between her boobs…)

issa-sa: This is what happens when character concepts trump everything else in the creation.

Everyone else: Kogarashi is indeed epic, and he’s more than enough for the show. I just wish the rest of the show matched up with his epicness though. Well, I can always dream. :3

I’ve only seen the first episode (too much jumpy boobs for me lols) but I really liked Kograshi too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character much like him and he’s sooo tank.

I love this show. Kogarashi is my hero. I agree that the scenes without him leave something to be desired, but the scenes with him make up for it. Besides, there’s nothing wrong with watching a show just to follow one awesome character. This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve done it.

They should just drop off the entire plot and focus on Kogarashi alone. Maybe make him crossover to other series, like becoming Wilhelmina’s counterpart in Shana season 3.

The start was pretty week, though by episode 4/5 a lot more time was spent on Kogarashi showing of his techniques. Seriously, i carry on watching this show for that man, and laugh my arse off at least a few times each episode.

Until you pointed it out, I always thought Kogarashi was the main star of the show. That’s how much show snatching presence he has, everything else in the show is unneeded dressing

you’ve pretty much detailed exactly why I dropped the show. Maid Guy’s moments made up some of my hardest laughs in anime, ever, but the rest of each ep was lame and unfunny. If it’d been all maid guy, or just all not-piss-poor it could have been the OMG funniest show since Fumoffu, but I don’t have time for each ep with all the blah.
