Not the greatest song in the world, and is this even a tribute?

You’ve seen this video before on the blog, but it was one of the first things I remembered when I first heard of the news yesterday. For better or for worse (better in my opinion):

I’m not sure many people on earth now are as influential as Michael Jackson was. Or if not that, I’m not sure there’s someone else who could somehow bridge various gaps between different groups of people like he could with his music, despite all of the other eccentricities and controversies surrounding the man. I mean, lol anime even. Life goes on. Rest in peace Michael Jackson. :(

    Preach on.

It’s just bizarre to think about a time when Michael Jackson is not in existence, since he’s been mega-famous for our entire lives.

lol, there was also that Hare Hare Yukai vid with Michael Jackson’s Bad. That was my favorite =D (hope this works)

I still can’t believe someone who has left such an impact on the music industry is gone, and it saddens me ever more that he spent the last of his years being ridiculed by the media over and over again. To think that absolutely no one will be able to touch a record of over 100 million sold, and thats just one album. Rest in peace Michael. You may be gone, but the Boogie never dies.

Was this post perhaps a tribute to some other artist? XD

    RIP King of pop.

There once was a man named Michael
    Interrupted was his cardiac cycle
    His dancing was sweet
    It was quite the treat
Not many words rhyme with Michael

Rest in peace Michael, the only music artist of such popularity and influence since Elvis. Separate the image of the man from his music and you’re left with quite a legacy – for all his eccentricities and controversies he did some memorable tunes. I’m not a huge fan sadly, but I appreciate their status as classics.

Oh yeah, that vid is pure win. I wonder how many replays I need to do before my nextdoor neighbours come round to batter down my door and lynch me…

My comfort is that I have grown up in a time when he released the Thriller music video and what came next like “We are the World”, so I can tell my kids what kind of man Michael is.

They dont really care about us
