Self-explanatory really, though my writing might not be. Whether because of the song, the visuals, or both, these intros and outros worked for me this year. Using youtube, I tried to get all raw versions, but some only had a subbed version. But that shouldn’t be too important, should it?
BTW, this probably is a long post, which also explains what happens when you aren’t too selective. :3

Granted, this will be bit earlier than usual for some, but why not get that head start in anyways?

Alright, folks, I promised another chapter of the endless manga review cycle that is my life, well, not counting the research, the teaching, the ass-kicking, and the being a murdering kill-bot. Not many volumes of stuff this time, and the only reason why I’m writing now, as opposed to, say, later, is because I just got a whole huge stack of new crap, mostly Black Lagoon and Cloth Road, which will suck up my time and are not really that interesting to review. In the event that fat stacks of cash drop on my lap, and if I suddenly have a bunch more time, I’ll read and/or write more about series I haven’t previously covered. Anyway, on with the show:

Alright, the first midterm in the class I’m teaching is over, so I have a break in the grading, moreover, I was a good person, and did a large chunk of my homework over the last couple of days, so I have time to watch things, and, then, now, to write about them. This new season is fairly short on Nomad shows, but heavy on Bign shows, so don’t expect to see lots of positive reviews. Also, though fall is my favorite season, the fact that it’s not flipping cold enough means that I can’t enjoy the main benefit of the colder temperatures, the ability to wear heavier clothes without seeming like a terrorist or thief. Finally, the joys of teaching are somewhat mitigated by the fact that some of my “kids” are lazy sacks of shit, and since my continued funding depends on the mercy of my reviews, both from the prof and from the kids, if they don’t do well, I look bad, and I might have to get a real job.

As I’ve noted previously, I bought a lot of “books” (read: manga) overseas, and have, finally, had the chance to read through a pretty good stack of them. Since you guys are interested in things like manga, I’d figured that I talk about what I’ve read, to help expand horizons. This is about half of the stuff I brought back, so expect another summary later of other things. I might go into further detail on some of the books that caught my interest, but, for this post, I’m just going to do a simple formula review of the books. Below is an example of something you should be familar with:

I guess this is what happens when you don’t pay attention to things.
I just found out about Season 2 of Genshiken from the fine folks at Heisei Democracy, and it’s a nice surprise for me. As one of the people disappointed by the decision to have Kujibiki Unbalance anime and some OVAs instead of a full second season, I feel redemption has occurred now. Genshiken has been one of my favorite anime and manga series out there, and in my opinion one of the more down to earth series that has been made in the last couple of years. For those who aren’t in the know, this is a humorous look at and introduction to otakudom that in my case, strikes a bit close to home.
