Looks Like There’s A Finish Line For The Yotsuba&! Watch After All.

By TheBigN

Remember the hubbub in wondering about the status of Yotsuba&! 6 a couple of months back? Now, I wouldn’t say that people listened to us bloggers directly, but I think that people listened to the Yotsuba&! fan collective as a whole, because someone apparently decided to pick up the slack where ADV left off. As I already didn’t have enough reason to love Yen Press. 😛

Hell, I feel like singing myself now.

Yay! I’ve been reading Yotsuba&! on my computer since ADV Manga doesn’t even print the first few volumes anymore. I literally couldn’t find them anywhere. And I hate reading manga on my computer. I greatly prefer having the actual physical manga in my hands.

I imagine Yen Press will release Yotsuba&! from the beginning? That way I can pick it up and collect them from the start. Heck, I haven’t even finished reading Yotsuba&! up to current publication since not having the manga right there on my shelf leads me to completely forget about it. And I freaking love the manga too.

Now we just need to wait for another company to pick up Gunslinger Girl. Still, at least this is a nice bit of sunshine in these dark economic times.

Now what would totally suck is if the bookstores here didn’t bother getting any stuff from Yen Press.

Only vol 6? Guess they’re waiting for sales figures first before making their next move.

I laughed so hard when they showed the slide announcing this at the panel too early by accident. Also, Micheal, the spokesperson for Yen Press said that it’s still in discussion whether or not they are going to rerelease the previous volumes.

Yes! There were a few series I desperately wanted to own but just haven’t been released. Glad to see someone pick up the slack here as I really wanted more of this. XD

Yen Press also has B.ichi, Moon Boy, and One Fine Day. They have my attention.

Yen Press is, currently, the greatest manga company in the world, thanks to them picking up Hidamari Sketch. This just confirms it.
