Back from Otakon, and Boy Are My Arms Tired!

I’m really tired and real life med school life (yes, that should make sense :P) is hitting hard with a vengeance, so expect a summary post in a couple of days from now. But Otakon 2008 was mad fun, for a start. And for those of you who went to the Game Show, I was the one that coined “Yuri Matsuri^TM“. Trust.

Random Ramblings III: Otakon Ho! And Other Stories

Once again, it’s one of those posts where I can’t think of anything to say enough about that warrants a full post, but instead I have a million (roughly) jumbled thoughts that I voice out. So to begin with, the million-dollar question:

Yes I am going to Otakon… Starting tomorrow. This means I’m going to miss out on the epicness that would be the JAM Project concert (;_;), as well as the still epic Touhou panel (but please do check it out). But I’m still going to be there meeting up with friends that I know in real life and the Intarwebs, and still SKILL-ing it up with Omo and friends. Hopefully. This is going to be the first time that I’ve been to a “professional” convention (I helped run a few college-centric ones back in, well, college. Nomad has too, so maybe we should sit down and tell a story or two about it), so I’m sure to be overwhelmed with everything that there is to offer.  And if you want to know what I look like, as well as what the “N” actually stands for, this is probably your best bet to do so as of now.

Seriously. I will not bite. Much.

Thoughts on Hidamari Sketch x365 Episode 4: You Can Get It If You Really Want

“I never thought that having no restrictions would make things so hard.”

This quote from Yuno is the situation that I oftentimes face in writing this blog. Here, it helps the situation because I’ve already set my mind of my required post a week for the next couple of weeks by trying to get one of these x365 impression posts out regularly. But when I don’t have something, it can be pretty annoying trying to come up with something to write about.  And because I try my best to write something with substance (or at least something with a lot of text to it), when I can’t think of anything substantial to write, it can be a pretty frustrating. So that’s a start for me to do something like this, since just regurgitating whatever randomly comes to mind helps.

Granted, she would probably be a kind and benevolent god, but I do not think that is what she wants either.
